Mo' Maxim and Medieval Moments

Well aware of his girlfriend's tendency to arrive late, Mo hopes he can make his beer last until she shows up.
Maxim:
The glass is either half empty or half full.

  2. Or maybe that he'll have to have a second!

I wonder what you will do with all your linked collages?

    1. Maybe he's afraid that if he has another, he'll have to use the washroom and that will be the moment his girlfriend shows up and won't find him and consequently leave in a huff! (nah, a man wouldn't think that complexly)

As for the series...one day I may be organized enough to put up a site with cards and prints for sale, and these will be included. Possibly, they will be framed and exhibited and put up for sale at some point...but that is far from my consideration just now. Meanwhile, they're stashed in a plastic envelope.

  3. If he finishes and leaves . . . no Mo relationship.

  4. Mo's desire is vibrating right off the page...oh, a second beer is in his future! Love those green shoes!
This might be my favorite collage...love the way the background weaves itself behind and forward! How many now?

    1. Poor Mo. I hope he doesn't get so inebriated he falls off his stool waiting for his girlfriend to show. His girlfriend bought him the shoes. They're genuine Chucks, of course.

This collage (which I'm glad you like so well) is the fourteenth I've posted. One more to go, and the whole series will have been "exhibited" here.

    1. You heard her, barkeep! Poor old Mo is well on his way to becoming an alcoholic if he continues dating his tardy girlfriend.

    1. Ha ha! I'm replacing my moaning of last week with a joyful chuckle this one as a result of your encouraging words and positive outlook. Thanks, Johanna!

  7. I have to say, you have really turned squiggle art into serious art form very cool.
The clothing they wore in medieval paintings is just fabulous so rich layered and fun to work with. I love your collages you bring the elements together so well...a touch of this a dash of that...beautiful work.

    1. A touch of this and a dash of that...yes, excellent recipe for all kinds of art, as you well know, digitally speaking. You're so right about Medieval garb being rich and layered...and sometimes quite bizarre to our post-modern eyes. Imagine having to get all dressed up in those heavy silks, velvets, brocades, furs...to say nothing of the petticoats and over-the-top head dresses. Excellent subject matter for collaging, though.
Scribbles to art...not such a far reach. :) Glad you like the results.

    1. That's funny! I think Mo is having the same feeling about his glass.
The colours of the pictures in the calendars I ripped up were sumptuous and fun to work with.

  9. Yo Mo! Throw caution to the wind and chug that brew down! He looks a little tightly wound!

And another great collage. It would be great to see them all posted together somehow, when you're done. I'd love to see the complete set...

    1. Ha! I think you're right about Mo's uptightness. His body language and reluctance to spend a little more on another beer should be warning signs to the girlfriend that maybe Mo is not the guy for her. Unless, as you say, he learns to throw caution to the wind and unwind a little.

That's a good idea about showing the Medievals all together. I'll do my best to get a page set up with just them. However, big doings around here...my sister is due in from the west coast Friday and I am wound up tighter than our friend Mo here, trying to get stuff done. We'll tootle around the maritimes a little for a couple of weeks and then I'm heading back to Vancouver with her for at least all of July. So...will be taking a break from art making and posting. If I don't get the page up, you can always click on the Medieval Series link on the label list at the bottom of this blog's page. That is very cool you are so interested in my series.
