Playing with various effects and apps with my tablet eventually produced this version of a photo I took of a tulip in our yard.
Do you think it could pass as a pastel drawing?
I think perhaps the colours are a tad too acidic for it to look like anything other than digitally made art.
But that's okay...isn't it?
It is OK to look like what you are if what you are is beautiful. I tell myself this every time I look in the mirror.

DeleteFine by me. I wish people would get over the whole anti-computer manipulation argument. It's the same one they had about cameras back in the day. And some other technology will come along in another 100 years that people will have the same argument all over again. So, rock on Lynne with an e. I think your flower reduction is beautiful and I can easily imagine it hanging on a wall, adorning a modern space.
ReplyDeleteThank you for that kick-ass reinforcement of the inherent value of digitally made art. I find the myriad forms such media can take to be exciting and challenging, and those are certainly ingredients an artist requires to remain creative. I guess I tend to be a bit apologetic about making digital experiments as I'm coming to this as a recovering painter. :-)
