If trying to get back into shape didn’t kill him,
Wilfred vowed to live a much healthier lifestyle in the future.
Maxim:
Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better.

(Sorry about the preponderance of men in the maxims of late but the truth is that I'm running behind in making them so have to post what I have. Wilfred, in fact, is the last one I had on hand. Hopefully, will get back up to speed this week and get a little supply made to keep us all happy for the next while.
Nothing ventured nothing gained!)
I think it's sometimes true. We all had this experience ;)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Every time I get into a good habit of doing some form of exercise I vow I'll never get lazy about it again...famous last words.
DeletePraying you find your Maxim muse as these little quips really make my day!! Today's is quite appropriate for me.
ReplyDeleteHa! my Maxim Muse...hadn't thought of it that way, but I think you've hit the nail on the head. Or maybe it's my Maxim Mojo. Either way, gotta pump up the volume like Wilfred here.
DeletePainful to look at this fellow! Back to the work table...you are charming blogland with these "Maxim of the Week"!
ReplyDeleteIt is painful to look at him and I almost didn't post him here but it was the last new maxim I had so poor old Wilfred got exposed (not too indecently, I hope!)
DeleteI did get back to the table today by cutting up some watercolour paper into maxim size bites.
haha, funny. oh the pain of it all, the suffering we put ourselves through to improve our health.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that reminds me of the old Chef Boyardee ad where the little kid asks plaintively, "Why must good for you taste so bad?" In this case it could be "Why does good for you hurt so bad?" Been there! Will have to face up to it again as have been sluggish this winter.
DeleteWilfred ? Poor dude, hope he doesn't have a heart attack or anything...
ReplyDeleteJust be thankful that he's not doing Hot Yoga!
Deletepump it up wilfred! love the red cheeks. always enjoy your maxims...looking forward to seeing the new ones!!
ReplyDeleteHappy that you appreciate the humour here. I'm looking forward to seeing the new ones myself!
Deletei so feel with him... i know these resolutions too good...
ReplyDeleteMy maxims are sometimes a little too true to life...but then I guess that's why we laugh, with a shock of recognition.
DeleteHahaha love your delightful sense of humour!
ReplyDeleteWilfred doesn't find it funny, though.
DeleteHa! Too funny! I'm looking forward to the 'better' part...
ReplyDeleteConversely, we don't know what we have till it's gone!
Delete;-)
why is that healthier lifestyle always in the future. i just this week vowed to yoga myself to health.
ReplyDeleteThe future is now! Time for some Downward Dog.
