Maxim of the Week

If trying to get back into shape didn’t kill him,
Wilfred vowed to live a much healthier lifestyle in the future.
Maxim:
Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better.

(Sorry about the preponderance of men in the maxims of late but the truth is that I'm running behind in making them so have to post what I have.  Wilfred, in fact, is the last one I had on hand.  Hopefully, will get back up to speed this week and get a little supply made to keep us all happy for the next while.
Nothing ventured nothing gained!)

    1. Ha! my Maxim Muse...hadn't thought of it that way, but I think you've hit the nail on the head. Or maybe it's my Maxim Mojo. Either way, gotta pump up the volume like Wilfred here.

    1. It is painful to look at him and I almost didn't post him here but it was the last new maxim I had so poor old Wilfred got exposed (not too indecently, I hope!)
I did get back to the table today by cutting up some watercolour paper into maxim size bites.

    1. Yeah, that reminds me of the old Chef Boyardee ad where the little kid asks plaintively, "Why must good for you taste so bad?" In this case it could be "Why does good for you hurt so bad?" Been there! Will have to face up to it again as have been sluggish this winter.

    1. My maxims are sometimes a little too true to life...but then I guess that's why we laugh, with a shock of recognition.
