After picking up after her dog on their walk in the park, Nancy thought of a way to get back at her neighbour for letting his cat use her garden as a litter box.
ötli, A friend of mine actually set traps for his neighbours' cat when it came into his garden, called the SPCA to pick up the trapped pet, and then the neighbours had to pay to get the cat from the SPCA. The neighbours eventually moved away.
Losing good neighbours by process of elimination.
ReplyDeleteDCW,
DeleteHa ha haha! I think if I ever publish these maxims I'll have to include your comments. Too funny.
Oh and it is such a big dog ;)
ReplyDeleteDanielle,
DeleteThe bigger they are, the harder they fall! But that's a maxim for another day.
:-D
clever idea.
ReplyDeleteSuki,
DeleteCould turn out to be one of those situations where one says, "Well, it seemed a good idea at the time."
just tell your dog to make himself comfortable in the garden...
ReplyDeleteoh well, the neighbour story...
Johanna,
DeleteLetting her dog loose in the neighbour's garden would be too obvious; our friend Nancy is much more devious.
I love Nancy's devious and conniving facial expression; compare that to the total look of innocence on her accomplice...
ReplyDeleteStickup,
DeleteNancy says, "Heh heh heh." Her companion's only comment is an affable "woof."
And I say that you are an astute observer.
Both cat and dog are of course completely innocent, and as cats seldom see fences as obstacles, this could be a long drawn out war!!!

Ruby,
DeleteThe neighbours may end up fighting like cats and dogs while the actual cats and dogs merrily go about their "business."
Excellent and so true ;)
