Has her drinking also impaired her fashion sense ? Red high heels, orange hat, purple top... or maybe the drinking just augmented her sense of daring ?
Ruby, I agree. Look at the mess the world is in due to a misplaced faith in number-crunchers. And mob mentality. And the pressure of peer groups. Plus I hate being in a crowd.
L.W. Roth, Looks like we're a little "at odds" with our opinions on numbers (see above comment). :-) But I do like your concept of individuals in a group having a number of opinions, neither right nor wrong, and each person being open to hearing and considering each other's idea. Does passing out count as sleeping it off?
Owen, Barb was quite sober when dressing for the soirée. However, she didn't realize the Paris Fashion Police would be attending. Or perhaps it's your own fashion strictures that might bear revamping, especially when the lady is a vamp? Do you remember a time when "vamp" had nothing to do with fanged creatures?
Okay...maybe the red boots are a little over the top; I'll give you that. :- )
Let's hope Barb realizes numbers don't lie and she signs up with AA immediately.
ReplyDeleteShirl,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she won't count that possibility out.
Safety in numbers? Well, that's a BIG question!!!
ReplyDeleteRuby
I agree. In numbers, you have a number of opinions and no one is right or wrong. Barb should sleep it off. Great caricature.
ReplyDeletein vino confundida

The Original Barb

ReplyDeleteI thought you'd appreciate it.

Reminds me why I don't drink anymore!!
ReplyDeleteApologies for my lack of visits..I'm becoming such a slacker!! Have a great week.. ciao xxx Julie
Julie,
ReplyDeleteBeing a slacker is highly under-rated.
And then when you do eventually show up, it's even more of a treat.
Maybe she's asking the bartender for four more shots? :)
ReplyDeleteNancy,
ReplyDeleteOh-so you know Barb!
