Maxim of the Week

Although Carlotta didn't care for Rolando in her private life,
she had to admit he made an excellent dance partner,
Maxim:
You can't live with men; neither can you live without them.

  9. Ain't it the truth. I'm still looking for the perfect "tent putter upper!" I love how the dancers meld together and almost become one. But even so, Carlotta keeps her distance...

  10. Driftwood,
    What??--not Shake Your Booty?!

    Do a little dance,
    Take a little chance,
    Get down tonight,
    Get down tonight,
    Shake shake shake
    Shake shake shake
    Shake your boooooteeeeeeeeee

They don't write 'em like that any more.

  11. Stickup,
Have you seen those pop-up tents that just explode into being like a fake snake exploding from a joke can? They seem as easy to put up as flinging a Frisbee. The trick, I suspect, much like with a map, would be to refold them.

I would say that Carlotta's been burned one too many times to venture too near that particular kind of camp fire again.

  14. A lovely and very sympathetic work. I guess you have your reasons for expressing the maximum over men.

  15. She's his - but only from the waist down! Perfect image for a "come here - go away" message.

    Well done - as always.

Yes, definitely mixed messages going on: "Come hither, so that I may wither you with my icy glare and hot body!"

  18. Leovi,
Sorry, almost missed your comment! Somebody made up that maxim long before me, but if the shoe fits...

  19. "At last ... " - oh well, only a dance partner (what would Etta say?). ;-)

  20. Merisi,
I think Etta would say, "I'm a hoochie coochie gal--I'd have him eating right out of my hand"
