Rhododendronothon

A blog friend (Mr. Toad of the Magic Lantern) recently e-mailed me a photo with the challenge to see what I could do with it in Photoshop. Oh my goodness--like giving candy to a baby.

Here's what I came up with.

I feel it was a day well spent.

These days my art experimentation is focused on pixels rather than paint.
Please bear with me.

  3. Suki,
What a luscious slip of the tongue! I wish I was talented at wrangling pixies.

  5. Blue Sky,
Good thing those pixels aren't fattening. Seems that right now, they're what's choosing me. I may need an intervention before long!

  6. Holy toadstools !

Have you ever seen a toad sitting with a dazed look in his eyes, his usually snappy tongue lolling out one corner of his mouth hanging limply, an expression of totally bemused, partially bewildered, but entirely enchanted amazement on his face ??? Well, that's Mr Toad looking at these truly inspired creations... with these I can truly say, "I don't know how you do it !"

These are just fabulous... all of them, from start to finish...

Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to make your tongue hang out of your mouth.

  8. Gorgeous! and they make a wonderful series. I could see some of them framed together.

  9. Robin,
I hadn't thought of framing some together! That's a good idea...if I can get my printer to cooperate in printing on watercolour paper. Perhaps time to invest in a more serious printer that I don't have to cajole and coax into accepting unusual matter through its feed.
Thanks for the idea. I'm glad you like the "series."
