Maxim of the Week

While Lorna felt confident enough to do tricks on her personal water craft, she still felt the need to wear a personal flotation device.
Maxim:
Better safe than sorry.

  2. Hi Elise, Thank you so much for your kind comments. It means a lot to me to receive such positive reinforcement. I just took a peek at your ballet blog and do believe I'll enjoy taking a few more tours en l'air through there!

  3. Hi Louciao:)

    Greetings:)

This is surely a very useful maxim. Most of us are reckless in many things and come to grief.

This reminds me of another saying-LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP.

One more thought just came to my mind-SPEED THRILLS BUT KILLS.

But you must be knowing there is another school of thought which says that a person who doesn't take risks will not succeed in life. Nothing ventured nothing gained. A boat which is moored safely in the harbor and not exposed to the wind and waves will not be sea worthy.

Well, you must be having your own thoughts on these.

Your drawing is marvelous and your maxim is wonderful because many people throw safety and caution to the winds and come to grief sooner or later.

    Have a good day Louciao:)

  4. Joseph, Thank you for your thoughtful comments...and inspiration for more cartoon maxims! I think for every idea expressed by one maxim, one can find another expressing its exact opposite! And you're right, sometimes one simply must throw caution to the wind, grab the bull by the horns...etc.
