Sock It To Me!

I received a surprise gift (the best kind!) from my mother in the mail today. Hand knit Finnish socks! My mother is not Finnish but didn't she do a great job? They fit perfectly and are so pretty and toasty. I love the pattern. If I still lived in Vancouver I could wear them with my Birkenstocks out in public. But as I'm in the Maritimes, you'll have to come to my house to witness that combination.

  1. Cute sox! Perhaps this will give me the inspiration to Finnish my mukluks.

  2. There's nothin' to it but to do it! We're not bringing knitting projects to NYC in May!

  3. Seeing as how you gave me the pattern book in '96 thought it was about time to "do" it. Also motivated by a mukluk knitter back east.

  4. You do realize you've opened up a whole new can of worms now, don't you? It's always great to learn new tricks--and practice makes perfect. (Check my arteologie blog if you need any other maxims for encouragement!) Thanks for leaving your (re)mark here!
