an edgy mix of Paint Pixels Collage and Cartoons

Recommendation to Lorraine: Stop pondering and decide. A trial period for each after you get home wouldn't be appropriate.
I agree. Keeping one's cookies in a shoebox would just be wrong.
ha ha- ashes to ashes, cookies to cookies. your illustration skills are magnificent! perfect thrift store lorraine!
Indeed, ashes to ashes, cookie crumbs to cookie crumbs...not a whole lot of difference. I have to admit, I am very fond of this Thrift Store Lorraine character that materialized from a scribble. I'm glad you like her, too.
I've started a little game with the maxims. I try to figure out a maxim before reading yours based on the drawing. You win by a landslide! However, your excellence drawing facial expressions did lead me to think she was pondering a this or that dilemma...
Oh, that's exactly the dilemma I'm faced with! I mean, not deciding between cookie jar and urn but what maxim to affix to a drawing. That is truly the hardest part! I have a book of maxims, plus I refer to a list on the internet, but it can take me a couple of hours to find one that clicks with me and the drawing. And sometimes I fear it's quite a stretch for anyone other then myself to actually get the connection. I've considered posting the drawing without a maxim and letting the viewer suggest one, but decided it would be lazy on my part. So that's really cool that you're doing it on your own. Feel free to post an alternate one! :D
she looks like she is clutching that vase tightly as if she is afraid someone would grab it out of her arms. HEHE. clever drawing and maxim. wonder which she will decide?
I would imagine that Lorraine has already had the exasperating experience of losing out on a thrift store treasure to a fellow treasure hunter who was grabbier than herself; thus the death grip (pardon the pun) that she has on the urn. I think she'll likely go with the cookie jar option as she'll think it too pretty to be kept hidden away. Besides, she wasn't all that fond of her husband in the end.
Such a joy to find another soul with a slightly twisted sense of humor and an artist bent that can't be helped. Your art and humor make me smile...a rare and precious gift...Rock on Lynne with an E!HugsDeann with no E!
I agree! Such a treat to discover others with slightly twisted humour. I'm always a bit leery if anyone will "get" my maxims but there seems to be a little band who consistently derive a chuckle from them. If my offering has twisted your lips into a wry smile, my own face can only respond in kind. Thanks for stopping by, Deann with no E.:)
i love dark humor!! (i´m a tin-box collector and won´t tell anybody what hides inside;))
I have a weakness for tin boxes myself! So far, no ashes kept in any of them.:)
Ha ha! A gourmand one ;)
A ghoulish gourmand of an old girl, our Lorraine.;-)
