Wonderful sense of play to this piece....trapped by cold winter...I love it! Your photoshop work is excellent and I admire the wonderful mix of textures you use. I thought of you the other day when I was up to my elbows cleaning inked screens and such....photoshop is an expressive and clean way of art making!
Blue Sky, Yup--you got it! Winter's trapped me inside for days and weeks at a time this year. Feeling a little hung-up about it.
It certainly sounds like you use the same "technique" of silk-screening as I did (ie. the messy one!). It is a treat using Photoshop to not have layers of acrylic glue to pick off and ink stains to scrub from my fingers.
Anjas, Oh, the snow does go on and on, doesn't it! Here, at least, the temperature has finally risen above the minuses and into 0C and up...still in the single digits, though. Glad you like my odd creation here; I think you can relate.
Sukipoet, So glad you find this piece " an inventive/creative combination of imagest." I think it's perhaps a perfect illustration of the word that so many art critics are fond of: "juxtaposition." So cool that you, among others, understanding what I was getting at.

feeling that heavyness, too. my mind knows mid february is full winter, but my heart whispers it´s high time for spring!!
ReplyDeleteJohanna,
DeleteYes, the perfect word to apply to the feeling: "heaviness"! My heart, much like yours, is whispering "daffodils".
I understand that feeling completely. What an inventive/creative combination of images.!!

ReplyDeleteDiva,
DeleteIsn't she darling? She came to me via the Graphic Fairy; a wonderful online source of faces from distant eras.
Sad but I think she is hopeful. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteLorik,
DeleteYes, hope springs eternal...
