MB, She's not exactly a fish out of water but I'm afraid our Sandrine may end up as shark bait as the other big fish in the small pond circle around her.
ö Now it's my turn to laugh! Hadn't thought of substituting "family" for the word "friends" but you are so right... at least when it comes to certain family members.
Johanna, I see you and Ö (note comment above) are on the same page! The Housewives are all very image conscious so Sandrine should fit right in with all her "enhancements." I hear she's considering getting a nose job on an upcoming episode, though.
People can be petty and downright mean about appearances. If we lived in China for example, we would think it quite boring and limiting as far as self-expression goes. I have a long-held fantasy to grow old, dressing just like Sandrine up there, clacking around poolside, in Vegas!
Oh, Stickup, I love the idea of you clacking around in platform heels, gaudy jewellery, dyed hair, caked on make-up and way too much cleavage showing in your dotage as you parade around the pool at the Home for Sassy Old Broads! Maybe I'll see ya there (if I last long enough for you to show up).
Ruby, I see so many women on television these days with amazing manes of hair. I imagine they're all sporting very expensive weaves. Sandrine could do no less.
Lorik, Would that red hair episode in your past have anything to do with your present day Mandarin Orange Mondays? Lucky you to have experienced long and lovely hair. Mine never seemed to grow past my shoulders.
Even in the shallows, she still can get the bends

Ha ha! So true (it works with the word "family" too?)

Very clever and funny too!
ReplyDeleteDiva,
DeleteI must admit, I was inspired by a bit of trashy television I indulge in from time to time.
You are amazing! I've been checking out your art on your website…I love it!
ReplyDeleteJanie,

She is wonderful! I love her unruly hair ( I had hair a bit like that when I was younger- dyed it red!) Love her knees too! Great drawing!
