Maxim of the Week

Having been a fashion trend-setter 40 years ago, Mavis sees no reason to change her style.
Maxim:

  1. Wonderfully tender and sympathetic.

Perfection can not be improved, but you can create parallel perfections.

  4. Leovi,
Parallel perfections! Excellent concept. I'm sure Mavis would agree with you entirely and wrap you up in a big warm hug.

  5. Julie,
I'm sure we all know someone like Mavis...if we don't actually see her in the mirror. I guess it's a way of trying to hold on to the glory days of our youth.
Weekend did indeed prove great, with sunshine!

  6. Shirl,
I don't remember Nanar Newport daubing her rouge on. I do remember those little round gold compacts of rouge, though, with the soft little powder puff inside that was just right for applying one perfect circle on each cheek while squinting into the compact's tiny mirror.
