Joelene tells her daddy she’s so proud of being a dairy farmer’s daughter that she’d love to go along with him to the Farmers’ Convention in the big city; and with her own hotel room she won’t be any trouble at all.
Maxim:
Butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth.
So clever!
ReplyDeleteHow do you come up with a new one every week? And so funny!!
ReplyDeleteI know what she's up too. I've heard all those farmers' daughters jokes!
ReplyDeleteI hope he decides to protect his dairy heir.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you think so!
Joyce,
ReplyDeleteI have a backlog of maxims because I was actually making one every day for a number of months. My intention was to do a year's worth. I still might! I'm so pleased you get my sense of humour.
Stickup Artist,
ReplyDeleteYou don't suppose our Joelene was actually the source of those naughty jokes, do you? I've never actually heard one right through...probably wouldn't find it funny if I did, anyway.
DCW,
ReplyDeleteCowabunga! You hit the bull's eye with that one.
So this is how one butters up a dairy farmer ~
ReplyDeleteDriftwood,
ReplyDeleteYup, butter him up then milk him dry!
This leaves some room for interpretation, Lynne! However, if she's that prim and proper... Maybe she's eyeing the position of State Dairy Princess...
ReplyDeleteMargaret,
ReplyDeleteI suspect she's not actually all that prim and proper...would that really disqualify her from being crowned Provincial Dairy Princess in this day and age? It would certainly get her a lot of attention in the gossip rags and entertainment "news" shows. After all, there's no such thing as bad publicity. I think she's a little girl with big city dreams.
